So far all is fine here. Lots of storms moving toward the Chicago area. They need to pay attention. We are in IA an hour west of Davenport. Most has passed us by.
Good to hear!
It’s fun to see. Weather has always been interesting to me. I’m a trained spotter and don’t take chances.
A spotter, very cool and a little scary. I am afraid of tornados after an experience I had as a child.
They are an awesome force. Knowing more about them might reduce your concerns. Maybe you can take a spotter training class offered by your local NWS office. They’re free and useful.
I never thought of taking a course!
Our weather service offers them every spring. They are 2 hrs long. You learn about severe weather including tornadoes. At the end you are a trained spotter. Easy.
Sweet!☺
Beautiful night here. The waxing crescent moon and waning crescent Venus are close together. Take care if the storm hits. Batten down the hatches. I’ll be thinking of you and Melanie.
Thank you. Storms were forming in our neighborhood. They passed just south and spawned tornadoes to the east. Now it is getting colder with a northwest wind. It was in the mid 60’s today here with a wide spread from one corner to the opposite. http://mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/data/summary/iowa_asos_high.png
Great photo. Here, clouds clouds clouds. I imagine it was beautiful along with the crescent moon. I hope the skies are good tonight, for the moonnto be near Mars, with Uranus hiding in the distance.
Another good catch!
Nice!
Now I’m watching weather for potential severe storms and tornado in our region. Always interesting weather around here.
Oh no. I hope you do alright.
