My first though upon seeing your picture was, “it’s backwards.” But wait, that’s from the East. Duh!
I was actually hunting briefly this morning for Venus too, about the same time. My problem is that most of my East is severely obstructed by houses.
It was farther east than I first looked. But, it was bright and easy to find.
Good to know. Hard to get the perspective right, especially with a lot of objects blocking the way.
